Our range of groups and classes is bigger than ever!

Read below for descriptions of our current activities

Please note that paying for the block reserves your space in the class every week.

For this reason, missed classes typically cannot be refunded. However there may be instances where circumstances change, and if you can no longer take part in the class, please let us know as soon as possible. In this instance, we may be able to refund or provide a credit to be used on another class.

ART GROUp
Mon+Wed 10:00-13:00

Our art group is a get together of like-minded people who like to paint, draw and explore their creativity in a relaxed and friendly manner with the guidance of our lovely art tutor, Susan Gauld. 

craft group
Mon+Thu 18:00-21:00

Join our group of regular crafties who like to work in many different creative forms they support each other but work on their own projects. Limited numbers so please email us beforehand. Come both nights or just the one that suites you. Limited numbers so please email us beforehand.

sewing projects
MON 18:00-20:30

From 6pm-8.30pm. Aimed at sewers with some experience, this is a chance to work on that project you've always wanted to do. Guided by instructor and local textile designer Helen Greensmith.

This dance class features high- and low-intensity intervals that help improve cardiovascular fitness while also enhancing balance, coordination, agility, and most importantly it is fun!

Creative Writing

From 7.30 to 9pm. Are you interested in creative writing? Poetry? Short stories? We are a friendly group that welcomes writers of all levels and backgrounds. During our syllabus we will cover poetry, characters, dialogue, plot, narrative and writing for children.

Patchwork & Quilting

Join our group of regular quilters who come and work on their beautiful designs bringing their own materials and sewing machines. You will receive support but the sessions are aimed at people with basic knowledge of patchwork and quilting. Limited numbers so please email us beforehand.

Perfect for anyone between beginner and intermediate level. Whether you've learned Spanish in the past and need to de-rust or if you're new to the language and progressing well, this class is perfect for you

If you've always wanted to sew but don't know where to start, this is the class for you. Our tutors Helen and Rachael will teach you the basic techniques to get you started in a social and relaxed environment. Sewing machines provided, or bring your own to learn more about it.

Yoga

Thur 18.45 - 20:15

This Hatha yoga flow will strengthen and stretch your mind and body. Led by experienced instructor Nicky Bramley, it is the perfect way to wind down and find more energy.

Learig Orchestra (in association with rCca)

From 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Our friendly community orchestra's repertoire is generally classical and new players are welcomed in almost all sections – strings can always be accommodated and additional brass and a timpanist would be wonderful. Do you like knitting or crochet, or want to learn a new skill? Here you can find a nice environment where you can work with yarn while gathering with other people just like you. All levels welcome. Tea and coffee will be provided. The groups meet on alternative weeks, contact the centre for more information

Last Wednesday of each month, 7.30pm to 9pm. Our book group is a get together of like-minded people who enjoy having a chat about the monthly book while discovering new literary worlds along the way. Books are provided, but numbers are limited so, please, email us in advance.

Join our Pilates exercise classes focusing on core strength. Helps build strength from the inside out, rebalancing the body and bringing it into alignment. Open class to all levels, just bring comfy clothes. We have mats here and all the materials you're going to be using.

HOLA! Would you like to go on holidays to Spain, South America or any Hispanic country or just be more in contact with the Hispanic culture? Come and enjoy our Spanish classes for adults. Our native teacher, Hilda, will help you to understand and learn the basics so that you can manage a bit better on your own.

Fun, interactive art classes with local artist Rachael Gemmell. These classes will allow your child to explore their creativity in a fun, social environment. The activities class will focus on a new medium each week, whereas the projects class will learn to develop an idea over the course of the term.
